This program is an initiative that involves recovering and recycling used cosmetic containers*1 at some directly managed stores.IntroductionIn response to customer requests, we will expand our recovery bases to 61 stores*2 in Tokyo, Kanagawa and other prefectures in April 2022, with the aim of expanding to all stores nationwide during FY Mar/2023. FANCL Group employees are also participating in this container collection.Since our establishment, there has been a culture of earnestlyconfronting social issues and deepening our business understanding by “doing what we can do by ourselves.” It is forthat reason that we have devised and put in place our ownschemes, such as using directly managed stores as the locationfor recovering the containers, and using special subsidiary FANCL SMILE to separate, wash, and dry them. By working on their own, employees can also foster awareness of theimportance of doing the work and of their social contribution, and this can also lead to the ascertaining and understandandiing of essential social issues. In addition, the 17 goals set forth in theeSDSDGs are interrelated, and it is said that the comprehensivve re resolution of these goals will lead to their achievementt.A. A major feature of the FANCL Recycling Program is thathat the environmental efforts involved in container recovveryery and recycling have led to the promotion of the activepaartirticcipation of people with disabilities, the creation of empmplloyment, and contributions to the local community. In the recycling of plastic resources, there exists a host of issues that cannot be solved by a single company alone. Toresolve these issues, we believe that it is essential to transcendthe boundaries of a company and work in partnership withlike-minded people. As a new challenge, in the years ahead weManagementcollection boxContainer Business Modelwill be collaborating with the Kirin Group, withthwwhich we have a capital and business alliance. We woulduldlike to develop our efforts with the aim of horizontaalrl recycling, by which usedcontainers are recycled intntoo the same containers using chemical recycling technoloogygy. From the e ststart of the FANCL Recycling Program onward, many cy customers have already kindly joined in with us.
