The FANCL Group has established this basic policy to ensure the proper handling of personal identification numbers and specific personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Specific Personal Information, etc.”) in accordance with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (hereinafter referred to as the “Number Act”).
1.Compliance with Relevant Laws, Regulations, Guidelines, etc.
In handling Specific Personal Information, etc., the FANCL Group complies with the Number Act, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and the Guidelines for Proper Handling of Specific Personal Information (for Business Operators).
2.Purpose of Use
The FANCL Group uses Specific Personal Information, etc. within the scope of the purposes specified in each of the following items:
(1) Administrative affairs related to individual numbers for individuals engaged by the FANCL Group (including its officers, employees, and their dependents; the same applies hereinafter)
a) Administrative affairs related to withholding tax
b) Administrative affairs related to the preparation of the "Application for (Change in) Exemption for Dependents of Employment Income Earner," and "Application for Deduction for Insurance Premiums for Employment Income Earner and Application for Special Exemption for Spouse of Employment Income Earner"
c) Administrative affairs related to the preparation of applications for income tax refunds
d) Administrative affairs related to the preparation of declarations, notifications, and applications concerning property accumulation residence savings and property accumulation pension savings
e) Administrative affairs related to health insurance and employee pension insurance
f) Administrative affairs related to employment insurance and workers’ accident compensation insurance
g) Other administrative affairs related to any of the foregoing items
(2) Administrative affairs related to personal identification numbers for individuals other than those engaged by the FANCL Group
a) Administrative affairs related to the preparation of payment records for remuneration, fees, etc.
b) Administrative affairs related to the preparation of payment records for real estate rent, etc.
c) Administrative affairs related to the preparation of payment records for consideration paid for acquisition of real estate, etc.
d) Other administrative affairs related to any of the foregoing items
3.Matters Related to Safety Management Measures
In order to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of Specific Personal Information, etc. and to ensure their appropriate management, including personal identification numbers, the FANCL Group takes organizational security management measures, personnel security management measures, physical security management measures, and technical security management measures according to each step of Specific Personal Information, etc., including acquisition, use, storage, provision, deletion, and disposal, and has formulated and complies with the Regulations on Handling of Specific Personal Information, etc.

The FANCL Group strives to continually improve the handling of Specific Personal Information, etc.
