Addressing aging related health challenges through products

Proposing products that support healthy lifestyles for as long as possible

As society ages, individuals are beginning to question their awareness and behavior in regard to health. In order to contribute to efforts to reduce growing medical costs and to support people in living enjoyable, active lifestyles for as long as possible, we are delivering products that make use of a variety of innovative ideas, from the selection of materials through to processing technology. This includes putting an emphasis on function, developing capsule sizes and formulations that are easier to swallow, and reducing the number of capsules that need to be taken without affecting functionality.

Changes in hormone balance with age

Estrogen is a hormone that plays an important role in maintaining health throughout a woman's entire body, affecting things including the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, bones, lipids, and blood vessels. It is a decrease in estrogen secretion volumes that leads to menopause. Menopause is often accompanied by physical or mental unease or discomfort, which can vary from person to person.
We offer products that help women stay healthy in body and spirit, including Concentrated Soy Isoflavones Lactic Acid Bacteria Plus, which contains highly absorbable soy isaflavones, plant-based lactic acid bacteria, oligosaccharides, and coenzyme Q10. Another product, Bone Support, was designed to help adult women to maintain healthy bones, especially as they reach the age of around 50, when bone mass begins to decline.

Addressing aging related health challenges through social activities

FANCL Menopause Action

During the World Menopause Day, on October 18, 2024, we launched the 'FANCL Menopause Action' initative, aiming to create an environment where women and those around them can maintain both phsical and mental well-being, guided by the message: "Don't face menopause alone. Everyone's understanding provides support."
To promote greater societal understanding of menopause, we publish information on our website and offer workshops on menopause for students and adults.

ME-BYO Style Ambassador

Kanagawa prefecture is working to encourage as many women as possible to make improvements to their lifestyles based on ME-BYO (a health support concept focused on preventative care) by disseminating information on "ME-BYO style" with companies and individuals through social media and by holding events in collaboration with companies and local municipalities.
In the fiscal year ended March 2024, we started acting as a corporate ambassador for the initiative through activities such as holding seminars for women approaching the menopausal stage in which we work with them on how to approach changes in hormone balance. Currently, the entire Fancl Group is promoting the "FANCL Menopause Action" to help all those going through menopause to live healthy and fullfilling lives.

Kanagawa Health Support Program

Kanagawa Prefecture is promoting lifelong health initiatives and has launched a health support program that leverages the expertise and human resources of companies and organizations to support residents' efforts to "prevent pre-illness conditions" through diet, execise, and social participation.
FANCL offers three programs: "Are You Getting Too Caught Up in Your Test Results? Understanding Your Health Checkup Results~," "100-Year Life Spans: How Long Will Your Body Keep Moving?," and "Eye Health Seminar: Preventing Eye Frailty." These seminars are held at prefectural institutions and pre-disease centers in municipalities across the prefecture.
The programs have been implemented in various regions throughout the prefecture, with total participation exceeding 200 people to date (as of the end of December 2025).
