Disaster and emergency support activities

In response to large-scale natural disasters, the FANCL Group provides support to people in the affected areas through donations, supplies FANCL products and services, and directly assists through volunteer efforts by our employees.
We think about the things that we, as a business involved in the development of beauty and health, can do to help. We will continue to work closely with affected areas to meet local needs.

Assistance following earthquakes in southeastern Turkey (March 10, 2023)

The FANCL Group made a donation to fund relief for people affected by an earthquake in the southeastern part of Turkey. The money will be used to support victims of the disaster through the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Japan.

Our response to the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster

Following the organization of supplies and donations immediately after the earthquake, customers could make donations based on their accumulated FANCL points and we continued to raise funds at some of our direct stores.

The FANCL Group launched its Beauty and Health Save Tohoku Project. A total of 197* volunteer events involving 921 employees were carried out in the affected prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima, as well at events sponsored by the NPO Kanagawa Hinansha to Tomo ni Ayumu Kai (an NPO to support Kanagawa Prefecture evacuees) in Kanagawa Prefecture.
To date, our volunteers have provided makeup services, hand massages, nail pedicures, and have offered kale juice to some 8,599 people. (*FY Mar/2012 to FY Mar/2020)
As examples of FANCL's long-term initiatives, we are a corporate supporter of projects to help children orphaned by earthquakes to realize their dreams of gaining higher education through scholarships granted by the Michinoku Future Fund*. (*On September 30, 2023, donations for all designated scholarships will end.) For 10 years from 2011 to 2021 we worked with another public utility foundation corporation, Chinju no Mori no Project (CMP) that plants forests that can protect life, and works on disaster prevention, disaster mitigation, and environmental conservation.

From 2021 to 2022, we donated through our shareholder benefits program to the Great East Japan Earthquake Reconstruction Assistance Foundation which provides support for school attendance and training to children living in the areas affected by the disaster.

COVID-19 pandemic assistance

As the COVID-19 pandemic sweeps throughout the world, the FANCL Group expresses its gratitude to the medical workers on the front lines of efforts to combat the disease. We have promoted support for organizations that assist women and children who are in need due to the pandemic.

Our support activities have included donations of non-woven filter masks, cosmetics, and health foods to medical facilities, single-mother support facilities, childcare associations, and developing countries, as well as donations undertaken together with customers and shareholders.

From April 30, 2021, we initiated the Immune Support Project to help society through our product FANCL Immune Support, a food claiming to help maintain the immune function. At the onset of the project, we set up the Meneki Support Social Contribution Council consisting of various experts. Based on advice from the Council, we contributed to society through "immunity support" by donating our products to medical professionals and events.

Support for Ukraine

The FANCL Group made a relief fund donation for humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and its neighboring countries. Relief money will be used to support victims in Ukraine and neighboring countries through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
We sincerely hope that the situation in Ukraine will be resolved peacefully as soon as possible and that the victims will be able to return to peaceful lives.
