Compliance Training
At the FANCL Group, we work to raise employees' awareness of compliance through a variety of regular compliance training programs, including new employee training, mid-career training, and training for newly appointed managers. We are also strengthening our internal compliance system by conducting training on compliance for our executive officers. This training includes responses to various amended laws and regulations.
Compliance study sessions
To raise employee awareness of compliance, the FANCL Group conducts compliance study sessions in addition to management-level-based compliance education.
In the fiscal year ended December 2024, in addition to video training to help with understanding of transaction processes, we held study sessions on the points to be aware of when sharing information through social media for departments that manage official social media accounts. Study sessions on the Antimonopoly Law were also held for relevant departments.
Going forward, we will continue to ensure that our employees are thoroughly familiar with legal knowledge, case studies, and internal rules regarding the scope of compliance risks, to improve their awareness of compliance.

The FANCL Group understands the importance of maintaining fair and equitable relationships with our business partners.
Since the fiscal year ended March 2021, we have asked officers to identify issues regarding their own area of responsibility and then conducted training based on realistic scenarios for each issue.
Within this, our training on the Subcontract Act uses information released by the Japan Fair Trade Commission to familiarize employees on the status of application of the act, relevant guidance, the number of reports received by the Commission, and the content of these reports. It also encourages participants to reflect on their daily work so that as members of the contracting company, they can cooperate with business partners in a constructive manner.
Training on copyright not only uses familiar examples to deepen understanding, but also raises awareness of the need to conduct business in a way that is considerate of copyright holders.
Also, based on observation of the recent performance of activities by young employees who are in the early stage of their careers, we carried out training for new employees to foster an understanding of the importance of coexistence and co-prosperity with business partners. In January 2021, we revised the FANCL Group Sustainable Procurement Policy and formulated new Business Partner (Supplier) Guidelines. Going forward, we will continue promote fair business dealings internally in order to foster cooperation with business partners and eliminate the 'negatives.'
