Stable Supply of Products and Services

Production

Our six cosmetics and health food manufacturing facilities in Japan aim to provide our customers all over the world with gentleness, safety, and assurance.
We continuously pursue the highest quality through fastidious manufacturing processes, including using management systems that are compliant with GMP and FSSC 22000 standards, practicing thorough hygiene management to realize world-class sanitary environments, and only using materials that have cleared our own strict standards.

Enhancing production capacity

Previously, our mainstay product Mild Cleansing Oil was manufactured at three factories, but in March 2020, we built a new dedicated production facility within the Chiba Factory site to consolidate production functions. The speed and automation of the new production line has improved efficiency and reduced the manpower needed and we can now manufacture 12 million bottles per year, an increase of more than 1.3 times the previous level.
Age Bracket-based Supplements is popular in China, so in June 2023, we established a new filling and packaging line at our Mishima Factory to raise production capacity to more than 1.4 times the previous level. In this way, we are building a production framework that can respond to rapidly growing global demand.

BCP measures

We aim to practice all-hazard BCP, which includes preparation for a wide range of crises. This is implemented as a Company-wide project that covers all six of our production facilities in Japan. We are working to prepare for unexpected situations by establishing structures to ensure that multiple facilities can continue producing not only our mainstay products, but also products needed to support people affected by disasters, and by formulating plans for realizing the quick recovery of facilities damaged during disasters.

Business Continuity Planning: Advance planning to ensure operations can continue following a disaster or emergency.

Logistics

Splitting inventory between two locations

We have two Group logistics centers, the Kanto Logistics Center (Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture), and the Kansai Logistics Center (Kadoma, Osaka Prefecture), from which we ship freshly manufactured products to customers all over Japan over the shortest possible distance. At each center, we manage inventory as appropriate based on the number of inventory items, manufacturing dates, and expiration dates to achieve the optimal placement of inventory for realizing fast and accurate delivery to customers.
