■2023

Judging Committee's Encouragement Award in the large corporation section at the 2022 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for Companies Promoting Experience-based Learning Activities for Youth (February 22, 2023)

Our FANCL Kanagawa SDGs course, which we have been holding since the fiscal year ended March 2022, received a Judging Committee's Encouragement Award in the large corporation section at the 2022 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for Companies Promoting Experience-based Learning Activities for Youth.
This award has been held since the fiscal year ended March 2014 to promote opportunities for experience-based learning activities for youth by introducing companies nationwide that are implementing exceptional initiatives related to youth experience activities as part of their social contributions.
FANCL will continue to create opportunities through the FANCL Kanagawa SDGs Course to work with many children and think about and act on SDGs.

Encouragement Award at the 12th METI Career Education Awards (January 19, 2023)

The Career Education Awards of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry were established in the fiscal year ended March 2011 with the aim of widely sharing the efforts and effects of excellent educational support activities by industry with society, and encouraging, disseminating, and promoting such activities. METI publicly appeals to companies and economic organizations for examples of their efforts in supporting education, and awards those examples it deems outstanding. (Partial excerpt from the METI website) At the 12th Career Education Awards, the FANCL Kanagawa SDGs Course, which FANCL has been conducting since 2021, won the Encouragement Award.

■2022

Gold Award at the 2nd Sotokoto SDGs Awards 2022 (December 28, 2022)

Since its inception in 1999, the future-creating SDGs magazine Sotokoto has popularized many keywords that are at the forefront of social trends. These include the terms "slow life," "regional revitalization," and "SDGs." In 2021 the magazine created the Sotoko SDGs Award to publicize activities to create the future, to further revitalize efforts by introducing unique businesses, people, and projects being implemented in Japan. The FANCL Kanagawa SDGs Course, which FANCL has been conducting since the fiscal year ended March 2022, won the Gold Award at the 2nd Sotokoto SDGs Awards in 2022.

FANCL awarded the top honor, the Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Minister's Prize, in the fiscal 2021 Awards for Corporations that Promote Experiences for Adolescents' Large Enterprise Division (February 25, 2022)

FANCL was recognized for its grooming seminars for students at special needs schools, which we have conducted for more than 30 years, receiving the top honor, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Minister's Prize, in the Large Enterprise Division of the fiscal 2021 Awards for Corporations that Promote Experiences for Adolescents.
The awards have been held since fiscal 2013 for the purpose of "promoting opportunities for adolescents to gain experience by introducing corporations nationwide who are implementing exceptional initiatives related to experiences for adolescents as a part of their social contribution activities."

FANCL received the award in recognition of all FANCL Group employees supporting the grooming seminar, the Online Grooming Seminar initiative that could be conducted even during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the activities of three instructors belonging to our special subsidiary FANCL SMILE, which is mainly staffed by employees with intellectual disabilities.
FANCL will continue to provide grooming seminars at special needs schools nationwide, helping as many students as possible enter the workforce with confidence.

■2021

Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon (November 8, 2021)

FANCL was awarded the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon through the Kanagawa Prefectural Government in recognition of its donation of 1,935 Perfect Whitening Kits of cosmetics to people receiving treatment at the prefecture's residential treatment facilities as a measure against COVID-19 infection, in the hope of cheering them up.
The Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon is one of Japan's medals of honor, established in 1918 as an award for those who donate private funds for the public good. Today, it is awarded to individuals who have donated over 5 million yen, or organizations that have donated over 10 million yen, to public interest groups.

Japanese Red Cross Society Golden Order of Merit (May 20, 2021)

FANCL was awarded the Japanese Red Cross Society Golden Order of Merit in recognition of its having donated 1,112,455 yen from customer points in fiscal 2020 to support front line medical personnel dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. FANCL will continue to work with customers to address social issues by continuously supporting activities that contribute to society.
The Golden Order of Merit is awarded by the Japanese Red Cross Society to those who have engaged in Red Cross service activities over a long period of time, including making large corporate donations and supporting blood drives.

FANCL awarded a Jury Honorable Mention in the fiscal 2019 Awards for Corporations that Promote Experiences for Adolescents' Large Enterprise Division (March 10, 2020)

FANCL was recognized for its grooming seminars for students at special assistance schools and was awarded a Jury Honorable Mention in the Large Enterprise Division of the fiscal 2019 Awards for Corporations that Promote Experiences for Adolescents. The awards have been held since fiscal 2013 for the purpose of "promoting opportunities for adolescents to gain experience by widely introducing corporations nationwide who are implementing exceptional initiatives related to experiences for adolescents as a part of their social contribution activities."
The grooming seminars conducted by FANCL are characterized by employees participating as instructors, and in fiscal 2018, 168 employees participated as instructors, visiting 67 special assistance schools. 70 Grooming Seminars were also conducted. Also, FANCL employees with visual impairments have been participating as instructors since the previous fiscal year. Going forward, FANCL will continue to provide grooming seminars for free at special assistance schools nationwide, helping as many students as possible enter the workforce with confidence.

Received the Grand Prize at the 22nd Kanagawa Image-Up Awards (January 16, 2020)

The 22nd Kanagawa Image-Up Awards were hosted by the Kanagawa 21st Century Association (established by The Mainichi Newspapers Co., Ltd) at the InterContinental Yokohama Grand hotel. FANCL received the Grand Prize in recognition of efforts to raise Kanagawa Prefecture's "grand capabilities" through its business and volunteer activities.
Going forward, we will continue to strengthen ties with the region through local social contribution activities that support customer lifestyles full of beauty and health.

FANCL awarded the fiscal 2018 "Awards for Corporations that Promote Experiences for Adolescents" Large Enterprise Division Jury Honorable Mention (February 20, 2019)

FANCL was recognized for its "Grooming Seminars" for students at special assistance schools and was awarded the fiscal 2018 "Awards for Corporations that Promote Experiences for Adolescents" Large Enterprise Division Jury Honorable Mention.
The awards have been implemented since fiscal 2013 for the purpose of "promoting opportunities for adolescent experiences by widely introducing corporations nationwide who are implementing exceptional initiatives related to experiences for adolescents as a part of their social contribution activities."
The Grooming Seminars conducted by FANCL are characterized by employees participating as instructors, and in fiscal 2017, 203 employees participated as instructors, visiting 57 special assistance schools. 65 Grooming Seminars were conducted.
Going forward, FANCL will continue to conduct Grooming Seminars at special assistance schools nationwide, helping as many students as possible enter the workforce with confidence.

■2018

FANCL awarded the 10th Kanagawa Prefecture Barrier-Free Community-Building Awards: Soft Division (February 6, 2018)

In Kanagawa Prefecture, in an effort to promote the spread of barrier-free universal design both in terms of hard and soft aspects and promote barrier-free community building, the prefecture recognizes individuals and organization that conduct activities that contribute to barrier-free community-building such as creating facilities that are easy to use by all, including disabled individuals and the elderly.
FANCL was recognized in the Soft Division for its "services for the visually impaired and makeup seminars", contributing to the social participation of the visually impaired through the development of original stickers that enable users to discriminate products by touch, and conducting makeup seminars for the visually impaired.

Awarded the 11th Kanagawa Children and Childcare Support Awards Honorable Mention (November 21, 2017)

Kanagawa Prefecture recognizes activities that serve as a model for activities in support of children and childcare in an effort to enhance recognition and expand voluntary activities in the private sector and activate initiatives in support of children and childcare on the part of businesses and institutions in support of children and childcare.
FANCL was recognized for its practical initiatives that serve as a model for activities to support children and childcare, and was awarded the "Kanagawa Children and Childcare Support Award Honorable Mention".

■2016

FANCL recognized as a top-ranked "Corporation Contributing to the Yokohama Community" (October 24, 2016)

"IDEC Yokohama" accredits corporations that undertake social projects such as "environmental conservation activities" and "community volunteer activities" through its main business activities and other activities, conducting business with an awareness of the region and that satisfy certain criteria as "Corporations Contributing to the Yokohama Community", and FANCL received "top level accreditation" on October 24, 2016.
"Corporations Contributing to the Yokohama Community" are defined as corporations:
1. With an awareness of the region and of society,
2. Who undertake social projects from the perspective of contributing to the region,
3. Seek success and growth with the region.

■2015

Awarded the 12th Corporate Philanthropy Awards "Social Inclusion Award" (February 17, 2015)

FANCL Corporation was awarded the "Social Inclusion Award" in the 12th Corporate Philanthropy Awards: Social Contribution as CSR Best Practice from the "Japan Philanthropic Association", the contact organization for "Customer Point Donations" conducted since 2008.
The award recognized how activities to support disabled individuals that began in 1987 through the wishes of FANCL founder Kenji Ikemori spread among customers, shareholders, and employees, and the company grew into a corporation that walks with society.
